Expecting Parents Dinner

Three times a year, the preschool department hosts a dinner for expecting parents. This is an opportunity for parents to meet other couples who will have babies the same age, as well as a chance to hear about the preschool department. Parents share a meal with their unborn child’s Sunday school teachers, preschool associates, and others in the church who be involved in the new life they will have with their baby. We will also go on a tour of the baby suite so that parents can see exactly where they will be bringing their child.

During the dinner, there is also a special time of prayer for the unborn babies. We during this “Baby Blessing” pray specifically for nine specific events in the child’s life:
  • The labor and delivery
  • The transition for any siblings
  • The first year: teething, colic, formula adjustment
  • The first day of school
  • The child’s teachers
  • The spiritual sensitivity and growth
  • The teenage years
  • The dating time
  • The spouse God may have for the baby
If you would like to participate in our next expecting parents' dinner, please contact Robin Dufilho, the Preschool Associate for Babies and One Year Olds.
